Cimicifuga’Brunette’ is a late-season blooming perennial which wows anyone who sees the white flower spikes which rise above the leaves on 5′ stems. ‘Brunette’ has purple black foliage. Grows best in rich evenly moist soil in partial shade. The common name, Bugbane comes from the scent of the flowers, which is said to repel insects.
